For longer stays there is the Medium Stay car park, a short walk away and the Long Stay car park which is the furthest car park from the airport however a shuttle bus is available to make a quick transfer. There is a Newcastle Metro station at the airport with services on the Green Line. The Green Line runs to Sunderland with stops in Newcastle City Centre, Gateshead and Fellgate. Services depart eery 12 minutes with a journey to Newcastle Central Station taking approximately 25 minutes. From Newcastle you can transfer onto Yellow Line services which run to Tynemouth and South Shields.

For train services to cities such as Carlisle, Durham, York and Middlesbrough take the metro service to Newcastle Central Station.
