No welcoming vibes here
The Clocktower Suites ‘housed us’ for our two night stay in Echuca but not comfortably enough that we’d recommend the accommodation to others or stay there again.
We thought it would be fun to stay in a building of historic significance but you don’t really get an historical ‘vibe’. Nor a ‘welcoming vibe’ either - how hard is it to leave a welcome chocolate or biscuit or something of little expense - instead of a big laminated sign stuck up telling you the mini bar prices!!!
Whilst the bedroom was small - i.e. not enough room even for any wardrobe and only a double bed could fit - thank goodness the lounge area was spacious enough to spread our luggage around (this was the Exchange Suite). The staircase area could be welcoming but actually it reminded us of some old buildings we went into in Havana, Cuba - with cold, crumby, echoey and soulless stairwells. And then the actual door into the apartment itself from the staircase area - it is really annoyingly as it is wrongly orientated! But the real trouble with empty, cold spaces like that is the travelling noise…. people staying in the other second floor apartment going in and out at all hours of the night certainly left their ‘soundtrack’ with us - a whole LP of loud voices and banging doors!!! Ugh. One night it was so bad it felt like we were about to be broken into and robbed!!
The location was fine.
The cleanliness was fine.
It just didn’t hit the spot on any other level at all.

Delightful accommodation in Echuca
We were two couples who rented out the two bedroom’s apartment. We found both areas to be very comfortable and clean and well furnished too . . My only issue was the larger bedroom did not have aircon and felt warm although a fan was provided to compliment the evaporative cooling . It was great to park car and walk to everything. Our booking was done privately and handled extremely well . I would thoroughly recommend this option over staying in a motel .

Disappointing Room
This accomodation did not live up to my expectations which was disappointing. We stayed in the Treasury Suite which faces 1895 The Royal pub on the corner. This is viewed through very dirty windows which I'm not sure how they could possibly be cleaned due to the 'modernised' structure of the windows, I'm guessing to minimise street noise. There are stains on the carpet, peeling paint in the bedroom, light switch basically hanging off the wall, TV is located in the bedroom which is annoying, no full length mirror (I know, first world problem). There were not enough towels provided for a four night stay. Sign on the entrance door says it's luxury accomodation and it is far, far removed from being that, however I do note that in the Ads it does say 3 star accomodation and yes I suppose it fits that.
Positives are that I had reason to contact the female manager via text and she responded both times very quickly and with one of the issues I was able to access more towels on site, the rooms are located very conveniently to the main hub of shops, the wharf is walking distance, and there is free parking onsite.
Overall just based on our room and what we could see, is that the place looks very tired and in need of a spruce up.

Great location. Off street secure parking was a bonus.
