Very nice family hotel
There is a nice pools and wellness area. It’s a little bit “further” from the center but it’s also less hectic. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel. Cuisine needs improvement.
Hotel bar has been refurbished but has lost the cosy feeling.
Staff are generally friendly.

Right in the heart of Lech
The hotel has around 50 rooms and suites, many with mountain views. It is clearly designed for active guests and families. In winter, the short walk to the Rüfikopf gondola and easy access to the wider Lech–Oberlech–Zürs ski area make daily logistics simple. Shops, ski buses and cafés are all just steps away.
Dining is structured around the rhythm of a ski day and is one of the hotel’s strengths. Breakfast starts early at 07.30. Fresh bread and pastries come directly from the Walch family bakery. The buffet is generous and clearly designed to fuel a full morning of skiing.
During the day, Café Gotthard acts as a social hub. The in-house confectioners prepare classic Austrian cakes daily
The bar, with access to the garden, is a nice spot for aperitifs and evening drinks, offering a solid wine list, cocktails and house-made spirits such as alpine herb gin and schnapps.
Dinner for half-board guests is served in the Gotthard Stube, with a four-course menu focused on regional Austrian cuisine, fish and vegetarian options. Quality is consistent, portions are balanced, and the large cheese selection instead of dessert stood out positively. Wines by the glass are well chosen.
The Lecher Stube offers a more traditional inn atmosphere with classic Alpine dishes. It is popular, especially in peak weeks, and reservations are advisable.
For something different, das THEO provides a modern, informal alternative. With a share-friendly concept and international flavours, from bao buns and ramen to well-executed vegetarian dishes, it adds welcome variety for longer stays. The spicy baked cauliflower “Buffalo wings” were a highlight. Service is friendly and efficient, in line with the casual concept.
We stayed in a Suite Deluxes. The separate living area, two terraces and mountain views offer real space to unwind after skiing. Practical details such as two televisions, a minibar and a lounger on the large terrace add comfort. The bathroom, with bath, separate shower and double sink, was very good.
Hotel Gotthard is a strong, reliable choice for skiers. It delivers exactly what it promises, and does so consistently.

An all-round relaxing stay
Since the hotel also brews its own beer, my personal recommendation to try the pale ale would be very delicious.
The owners are very warm and always available for a little chat. We like to come back as we really appreciate the family atmosphere.
