Great stopping place!

Very welcoming host. Quiet, clean, and comfortable room. Very nicely appointed but not trendy, which is fine by us! Ground floor hears some from above. The host is friendly and is doing the best he can as an independent owner!
It's a great stopping place with lots of food choices nearby!

Advertisement on motel sign “Quiet Clean and Comfortable just like home” nothing remotely close to this!!

Where to begin! The place is an absolute pig sty? Toilet ring and diarrhea splatters in the bowl. Urine and pubic hair around the base of the toilet! Dirty bath tub, dirty in clean fixtures! Coffe stains and dust on the window sill. Dirty greasy hand prints around light switches. Carpeted walk ways out side the room dirty littered with small gravel and dirt. Cigarette buts every where. A full ashtray greeted us at our door after check in!! We are not overly fussy people but at $150.00 per night no way will we every stay there again

Nope, don’t do it...yellow sheet inn !

We stayed here years ago and found it basic but very clean. We were travelling through the area again and the best western was sold out so thought we would try it again. we found check in to be friendly but room was sub-par. Sheets dirty and found hairs in bed…yuck! Sheets smelled dirty..pretty sure they didn’t change the sheets..double yuck! If we weren’t exhausted from travelling we would have changed hotels. Towels were dingy, smelly and yellowed as were the sheets. I don’t mind staying in on older motel but it needs to be clean! We wont be back. I don’t know who wrote raving review about this place…it’s fair at best n my books if not poor. The photos make it look better than it was

Like this Model A (pic attached), this facility is antiquated and doesn't deliver

I booked a non-smoking room. Imagine my surprise when walking into a heavily odoured room that obviously had been smoked in. I asked for another room but was informed there were none available. It was late, so I was resigned to a night of burying my nose in the pillow as to not smell the smoke. No surprise the night didn't go well and I woke early (no alarm) just to get outta there. A badly soiled towel (pic attached) was on the shelf for customer use. I don't even want to think what it was used for let alone put out for consumer use. The lights in the bathroom (pic attached) kinda symbolize the 'standard' of this motel. The sign (pic attached) declares, "clean, comfortable, just like home" - true if you live in a barn. I will not stay there again and I encourage you to do likewise. The manager on site was polite and even tried to be helpful. He should have offered a deep discount as I was effectually paying for something I didn't buy.

Bed Bugs

I stayed at the Model A Inn on my way through town and ended up with bed bug bites all over my body. Thankfully they did not travel with me to my end destination a work camp because that could have been a major incident. I will never stay there again, and I recommend that any travelers check the rooms before going to bed. Get your motel fumigated!!
