Nice beach hotel
When we arrived, we were greeted very personally and friendly by Thomas with a glass of Prosecco (a selection of drinks was offered).
Regarding our rooms, we had the choice of two.
Breakfast was prepared fresh every day and with passion by Mirka.
She really tried to accommodate every guest and every wish, and was always friendly and super nice!
The rooms are modern and clean!
They were cleaned properly every day when the guest was out.
Mineral water was always replenished, as were coffee and tea.
As far as the floor is concerned, there are actually signs of wear and tear, which were certainly caused by the furniture being moved around (the hotel is not a new build).
But the beds (including the pillows and duvets) were super comfortable!
The (sea) view is fantastically beautiful.
It couldn't be better!
The hotel is right by the beach entrance and there are numerous restaurants and the shopping street in the immediate vicinity.
Thomas and Mirka are friendly
and helpful hosts who really enjoy their work!
Stay as you are!
Thank you for the lovely week!

Unprofessional in management, shirt-sleeved on site
My experience is bottom line negative we can not recommend this place!
The apartment was superficially well equipped, but
- with defects in craftsmanship (each opening of the room or balcony door left scratches on the beautiful floor)
- without air conditioning, only with fan
- it was peculiarly placed: directly at the hotel entrance door and on the opposite hallway side of the breakfast room. I.e. every passing guest could be heard and especially every closing of the hotel door
- at ground level on the street, i.e. every third passer-by looked into the room and thus onto the bed
The bathroom was actually nice, even with infrared chamber. But the fact that a strange, long, blond year stuck to the shower wall during the entire stay does not testify to thorough cleaning.
The breakfast buffet was somehow lovingly arranged, but with very modest selection and quality and unconventional with tiny portion glasses even for the margarine
The staff was - during the three-hour attendance time in the morning - striving and friendly, but not so helpful on balance. For example, when asked about a mudflat hike, I expect an employee who lives on the island to give me three vendor phone numbers, meeting points or dates and times. In the end, I had to take care of myself.
I rate the communication in advance absolutely negatively.
In my booking documents I was advised to call in advance to arrange my check-in. I would have wanted to do that anyway to arrange luggage transport from the port to the hotel so that I could have moved freely right after arriving on the island.
Twice I called, but had only one telephone operator on the phone who had no authority for anything at all. Twice I left my booking number, e-mail address and phone number, both times I was promised a callback, which did not come both times. Shortly before my 1000km arrival I received at least a reservation confirmation by mail with another announcement of a call, which did not come either, so I went to the hotel on my own with bag and pack and could be glad that a lady was on site, because over the next few days it turned out that probably only in the morning someone is present for 3 hours.
The summit at CheckIn in a very distressing atmosphere at the standing office of the breakfast room: "Yes, of course, if we had your phone number, we would have called you. And are you really from America?" My goodness, twice I had left my (Swiss) phone number!
I can't think of anything. Organizationally a complete disaster and a hotel absolutely unworthy. Every kebab stand is run better than this hotel!
Norderney I will visit again, but then definitely choose another accommodation.
