Delicious!
We were at the Samaina to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. They were lovely to have decorations and even a cake all for us!
The staff is very kind; at the reception, a brunette girl with glasses helped me choose a nice restaurant for the anniversary.
At the end of the stay, they even left us a gift
Despite many people, we never felt like "numbers"; very kind and thoughtful people. The food is good and varied, of good quality. The area is not the most popular, but you can get everywhere by scooter. It is wonderful; you can see the sunrise and sunset from the beach in front.
Do not expect high-speed Wi-Fi or a Milan-style gym, and enjoy Greece ;)

Amazing hotel
Very nice hotell, everything was amazing from the rooms to the staff and of course the food, it’s a 5 stars for the price you pay.

Disappointed stay at Samaina inn Karlovasi Samos
Unfortunately, our recent stay at Samaina Inn in Karlovasi was extremely disappointing, particularly because this was our third time staying at the hotel.
We booked our room approximately nine months in advance and specifically reserved and paid for an ocean-front, two-bedroom, two-bathroom maisonette/suite. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was an issue with our reservation and were given a completely different room. The room we received was a two-bedroom, one-bathroom room located in the back of the hotel with no ocean view. It was not comparable to the room we had reserved and paid for.
What was even more frustrating was the hotel’s insistence that the replacement room was the same type of accommodation. It clearly was not. The difference in location, ocean view, number of bathrooms, and overall room category was significant. Despite the substantial difference, we were not offered any reimbursement or adjustment to the price.
The situation was made worse by the lack of communication between the booking department and the front desk. It appeared that the staff were not properly informed about our reservation, and we received inconsistent explanations regarding what had happened. Rather than taking responsibility for the reservation error, we felt that the hotel was attempting to justify the situation instead of addressing it fairly.
Unfortunately, one of the front desk staff members was also extremely rude and dismissive toward my family. The way the situation was handled became so upsetting that my daughter was brought to tears. As a customer—especially a returning customer—I found this level of treatment unacceptable.
I repeatedly asked to speak with a manager and requested the manager’s name and contact information, but this information was not provided to me. That only added to the feeling that there was a lack of accountability for what had happened.
We were extremely disappointed that the hotel did not acknowledge the mistake, offer an appropriate solution, or provide any compensation for the significant difference between the accommodation we paid for and the room we actually received.
We have stayed at Samaina Inn three times, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We had previously chosen to return because of our past experiences, but unfortunately, after the way this situation was handled, we will not be returning.
Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business takes responsibility and treats its customers when something goes wrong. In this case, we felt that our concerns were dismissed, we were not treated with respect, and there was no meaningful effort to resolve the situation.
Very disappointing experience, and unfortunately one that completely changed our opinion of a hotel we had previously chosen to return to. I would not recommend Samaina Inn based on our recent experience.

Gorgeous holiday
Stayed here from 3rd-10th August. Our room was lovely and clean with a stunning view of the hills, port and sea. It was utter peace sitting out on the balcony every morning.
The food is lovely with plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner and between 4 and 4.30pm snacks are provided at the pool bar such as sandwiches, cake and fruit. My favourite was the pork gyros but daily there was grilled meats/fish. Chicken wings were delicious
There are plenty of sunloungers by the pool but as usual these are reserved early on but we walked over the road to the beach and then came back to the pool later and this worked for us.
All the staff are so friendly from the cleaners, to those in the restaurant and the pool bar staff.
An added bonus is the hotel provides beach towels, you are given a card to swap for a towel. They were lovely big towels.
We had a fabulous holiday and cannot fault a thing. The area is quiet locally so probably not a resort to visit if you want local bars/nightlife but this was exactly what we wanted from our holiday, an all inclusive vibe to relax

Good Greek Hotel Experience
Spend a week all inclusive at Samaina Inn just me and my wife. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially the reception and local area guide who gave us some great advice on what to do in the area. The hotel is clean, and rooms were modest but ok. With the exception of breakfast, the food for lunch and dinner was varied with some great Greek dishes, fish every day, soups, salads and then a daily changeable specials bar. Drinks were good (except the Zorba larger), Greek fizz cocktails are a must try. The beach is just across the road, which some reviews said was loud due to traffic but this didn’t affect us. Beach area is has some stones for water shoes are a good idea. You can’t great an all inclusive drink on the beach unless you go and get the yourself. The waiter service is just for the paid bar. Entertainment 3 nights a week is a number of singer, all ok. Went the last week of June, only a few young children, the hotel was predominately European guests: Polish, Norwegian, German, Slovak’s, Dutch. Would definitely go back to the Samaina Inn.
