As the largest city in the Khabarovsk Krai region and located near the Chinese border, Khabarovsk is a melting pot of traditional cultures in an urban space. And it doesn't much feel like Siberia, what with a population over 600,000, skyscrapers and reliable mass transit. The city features a surprising number of great restaurants and plenty of parks and squares left over from the Soviet Era.
Hand delivered a Russian Bible to a family that requested one via a Gospel Radio Program. Passed out Gospel Literature on Karl Marx Street and in Lennon Square shortly after the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Attended worship services in the Underground Russian Baptist Church. Have it on VHS video. The story is in my book "Traveling For God."
Beautiful city - was originally the way to East Russia from Japan when Vladivostok was a closed city for flying - bloody cold in Winter
