Friendly hotel
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Java. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was great, and we would definitely recommend this hotel:)

Nice relaxing week
Hotel BG Java was in a great position near the beach. Very clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the food was average. Themed nights were good but we found the majority of the food was not very warm, the restaurant was buffet style and there was plenty of choice if you liked fish. Not many meat options. The entertainment was average but nothing to write home about.
We did visit some bars in the resort some of which had live acts on which were excellent. The pool area was clean and appealing. What we liked about the pool area was that we could always get a sun lounger and no no one reserved them which was a bonus. Was very handy having the bus stop to Palma right outside the hotel. The trip to Palma was only 2€ each way and it took about 30 mins.
Overall an enjoyable holiday but geared up more for Europeans rather than the brits.

The price / value is not okay anymore, and the Staff are not helpfull. We have booked with breakfast and wanted to cansell the breakfast. That was not possible.

Lovely hotel where we have been for years. Close to the airport and close to Palma. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and the drinks were again to enjoy. Thank you!! Greetings from the Timmer family

Mixed experience – good restaurant, but weak front desk and inflexible policies
This was our second stay at BG Hotel Java, and unfortunately we noticed a significant decline in quality compared to our first visit. Below is a detailed breakdown of our experience.
Arrival and communication
We knew in advance that we would be arriving after the dinner time (19:00–21:30), so we informed the hotel by email ahead of time. However, we only received a reply after sending a reminder, so the communication was not exactly smooth.
Dining
Since we knew in advance that we would be arriving after the dinner time (19:00–21:30), we also informed the hotel about this by email. We requested to transfer our dinner from the arrival day to the departure day, but the hotel firmly refused. By the time we arrived, the restaurant was already closed, so we missed the buffet entirely.
The reception kindly asked the kitchen to prepare some sandwiches for us, for which we are grateful. However, this was neither comparable in quality nor in value to the dinner we had already paid for as part of our half-board booking. They did not even offer the option to not charge us for the dinner on that day, even though we effectively received no proper dinner. Later, the hotel also emphasized that they were not even obliged to provide the sandwiches, despite us having notified them in advance about our arrival time.
Reception and staff
The front desk staff was a mixed experience. Several team members were kind and helpful, but unfortunately there was also a staff member for whom even saying hello seemed like a burden – this is unpleasant in a hotel, where the first impression matters a lot.
Room, check-out and infrastructure
The late check-out option was also unavailable: we were told that the hotel was fully booked, so they could not accommodate this request. However, at the same time, rooms were still available for booking on the hotel’s website for the same day. This seemed quite contradictory and left a bad impression. The rooms looked rather worn out, and a thorough renovation is definitely needed. In the shower, the cold and scalding hot water switched randomly, which further reduced comfort.
Positives
I would like to specially mention the man greeting guests at the restaurant entrance, who was extremely kind and already knew by face which room each guest was staying in – this level of attentiveness and personal approach is very rare and truly felt good. The restaurant itself was also good, with a wide selection and tasty dishes. The hotel’s location is also excellent.
Summary
Overall, it was an average experience with plenty of room for improvement. At this price point, you can already find better hotels, and we were disappointed to notice a significant decline in quality between our first and second stays. We hope this is just a temporary setback, and the hotel will soon return to its previous standard.
